Sutton on Sea has a range of independent shops as well as a Spar and Coop  for your  grocery needs. In addition it has many options for eating out or a drink including the beach bar and 16th century Bacchus hotel.

10 minutes drive away,

Mablethorpe has a new Tesco, Lidl and large Co-op in addition to the usual seaside resort facilities.

The beach at Sutton on Sea is Blue Flag rated. We enjoy swimming in the sea and the sands are ideal for making sandcastles and playing beach games with the children. Feel free to take a windshield with you ! 

If you enjoy your gardens Marigold Cottage just behind us has open garden sessions throughout much of the year. 

The Lincolnshire Coast has many wonderful opportunities to view wildlife. North of Mablethorpe, Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe National Nature Reserve has great open views of tidal sand and mudflats. May is a great time to see orchids and perhaps hear cuckoos.

A little further up the coast Donna Nook  attracts visitors from afar to visit the beaches where grey seals come to give birth. South of Sutton on Sea is North Sea Observatory at Chapel Point.

Skegness with all of its amusements are half an hour drive away while Fantasy Island with its various thrilling rides is only 20 minutes drive South.

Farmer Brown's Ice creams are justifiably popular and the cafe is open for breakfast,lunch and afternoon teas, using their own produce and other local suppliers where possible. They have a large car park and their own farm shop too. All of this only a few minutes drive away down the A52.

Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary is nearby too.

Popular market towns Alford is 15 minutes away while Louth famous for its large range of independent stores and its weekly market is just a 30 minutes drive

Don't forget to explore the Lincolnshire Wolds which are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and where Alfred Lord Tenyson grew up.
